Coker Falls to Lenoir-Rhyne in Road Contest

Hickory, NC - The Coker women's soccer team suffered a heavy defeat against the Lenoir-Rhyne squad on October 11, 2023. The final score stood at 7-0 in favor of LR, leaving Coker with a bitter taste in their mouths.

From the start, Lenoir-Rhyne showcased their superiority, taking control of the game and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Coker's defense struggled to contain Lenoir-Rhyne's attacking prowess, resulting in two early goals for their opponents. They opened the scoring in the 12th minute, courtesy of a well-timed pass. Lenoir-Rhyne continued to dominate possession and doubled their lead in the 32nd minute.

As the second half kicked off, Coker's hopes of a comeback faded as own goal by Coker was inadvertently kicked into their own net, extended Lenoir-Rhyne's lead to 3-0 in the 51st minute. Lenoir-Rhyne's relentless pressure continued, and they added to their tally in the 55th minute.
