The Coker Wrestling team opened up their season with a win at home vs. St. Andrews
Coker University's wrestling team had a successful match against St. Andrews University. Here is a recap of the individual matches:
- Corey Gallivan of Coker defeated Jonah McBurney of St. Andrews University by a fall in 2 minutes and 38 seconds in the 125-pound weight class.
- Stephen Spitko from Coker won by technical fall with a score of 19-2 against Sydney McDonald of St. Andrews University in the 133-pound weight class. The match ended in 1 minute and 42 seconds.
- Omar Armengol of Coker secured a major decision victory over James Roberts of St. Andrews University with a score of 14-4 in the 141-pound weight class.
- David Coptsias from St. Andrews University defeated Trey Weinell of Coker by a fall in 3 minutes and 41 seconds in the 149-pound weight class.
