The Coker College wrestling team once again placed members on the National Wrestling Coaches Association Academic All-American team. Eight Cobras made the list along with the team as a whole.

The Coker wrestling team saw four members move on to day two of the Super Region II Championships: Matthew Kieta, Ian Maund, Luis Peguero, and Robert Parland.

Coker wrestling took to the mat on day one of the NCAA Division II Super Region II Championships, hosted by the University of Findlay. Five Cobras collected at least one victory on the day. Luis Peguero, Robert Parland, Ian Maund, and Matthew Kieta all advance to day two of the tournament.

The Coker wrestling team is traveling to Ohio to compete in the NCAA Division II Super Region II Tournament, hosted by the University of Findlay, on Friday and Saturday (Feb. 23-24). In total, 13 teams will be competing, including the Cobras.

Coker wrestling's Luis Peguero ranks seventh nationally in the 197 pound weight class as of Feb. 16, according to the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches Association. This is the fourth ranking released of the season and the third appearance on the list for Peguero.

The Coker College wrestling team dropped an ECAC dual at No. 13 Newberry 29-9

The Coker College wrestling team returned to ECAC action on Tuesday (Feb. 6) night with a dual against UNC Pembroke. The Cobras fell behind early and lost the dual 33-12.

Coker Wrestling’s Ian Maund was selected as Rookie of the Month for January, as announced today by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC).

The Coker wrestling team competed on Day Two of the Super Region II Duals against No. t-23 Lake Erie and Tiffin.

The Coker wrestling team opened up the Super Region II Duals with matches against No. 4 Ashland and No. 18 Findlay.

The Coker wrestling team hosted the King (Tenn.) Tornado in an ECAC match to end the home season, while serving as Senior Day for multiple team members. The Cobras kept it tight, but dropped the dual, 26-21.

The Coker wrestling team wraps up their home schedule for the 2017-18 season by hosting the King (Tenn.) Tornado. This dual will also serve as the squad’s Fangs United match and Senior Day for five members.

The Coker wrestling team opened up 2018 with a home ECAC bout against the Limestone Saints. Despite fighting all the way through, the Cobras dropped the match 27-9.

After a month layoff from competition, the Coker wrestling squad looks to begin 2018 with an ECAC dual against the Limestone Saints Thursday, January 11. The first bout is set to start at 7:00 p.m. The Cobras are 5-3 overall and 1-1 in ECAC action.
