Coker Hosts Limestone
Coker drops game to Limestone
Hartsville, SC - The Coker University Women's Lacrosse Team fell short to Limestone on Saturday night (April 1) by a score of 23-3.
Limeston started off the game on top, taking Coker up by eight in the first quarter. Amariah Lawson, the first to score, reigned in the first goal for the Cobras off of a free-position shot. Much like the first quarter, Limestone rattled off another seven unanswered goals. This extended the Saint's lead to 15-1. It wasn't until the third quarter that Amariah Lawson (assist from Abby Gross) found her second goal of the night, taking Coker up by another goal. The Saints continued scoring and had taken the lead up even more. In the fourth quarter, Hailey Morgan collected her only goal for the night and finished the game for the Cobras.
Coker registered 17 draw controls compared to Limestone's 11. Coker also picked up 15 ground balls throughout the game.
Zoe Cotheran played the entire 60 minutes between the pipes and registered six saves.
The Cobras willbe returning to the field on Saturday (April 8) against UVA Wise. The first draw control will be taken at 12 PM in Wise, VA. Live stats and streaming will be available at www.cokercobras.com
