Cobras Set to Tangle with West Virginia Wesleyan in Tuesday Matinee
The Cobras look to move to 4-0 at home on the year on Tuesday.

HARTSVILLE, S.C.- Coker women's lacrosse will host the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats on Tuesday (Mar. 7) for an afternoon non-conference matchup. Video and live stats will be available at www.cokercobras.com.
The Cobras got their first win in the South Atlantic Conference on Saturday (Mar. 4) when they beat Lenoir-Rhyne 10-4. Claudia Jenkins led the offense notching a hat trick, while Marabeth Durden and Haley McCusker each registered two goals. Katie Driskell, Faith Kent and Karah Huntsinger each chipped in one in the contest. Defensively, the Cobras won the draw control battle 8-7 and caused 14 L-R turnovers. Durden collected four draw controls, while Kent picked up three. Kent and Jenkins each caused three turnovers, while Kaitlyn Kimball and Bailey O'Brien each added two. Durden also caused one turnover. Cassie Williams made 12 saves between the pipes for the Cobras.
On the season, McCusker's 14 goals rank third in the conference, while Kent's five assists are tied for fourth. Kimball is tied for fourth with 16 ground balls, while Durden's 14 rank seventh. Durden is tied for fourth in the league in draw controls with 14, while Mackenzie Baker's seven is tied for seventh. In the caused turnovers department, Kimball leads the conference with 17, while Durden and Lindsay Ordemann are both tied for fourth with seven. Between the pipes, Williams is fourth with a total of 43, and is also fourth in the league with a 52.4 save percentage.
The Bobcats come into the matchup 1-2, having yet to play a game in the Mountain East Conference. Hannah Antonelli leads the team offensively, having a team-high nine goals to her credit.
Opening draw is set for 4:00 p.m. at the Coker Athletic Field. Tickets for the game are $5 for adults, $3 for students and free to all Coker faculty, staff and students.
