GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The second-ranked Coker women's basketball earned a 72-45 victory to open South Atlantic Conference play at Tusculum on Saturday afternoon inside Pioneer Arena.
Junior forward Kamari Thompson led the way with her first double double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds, while senior guard Shawnteanna Tillman scored 15 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Coker opened the game with a three-pointer from Shawnteanna Tillman and quickly surged ahead to a 9-1 advantage. The Cobras stretched their lead to 13-4 - their largest of the opening quarter - and held a 17-8 edge after the first 10 minutes.
Coker controlled the second quarter as well, pushing the margin to 30-15 at halftime.
The Cobras continued to roll in the third, building a commanding 48-24 lead late in the period. Tusculum responded with an 11-2 run to close the quarter, trimming the deficit to 50-35.
Coker regained full momentum in the fourth, outscoring Tusculum 22-10 over the final 10 minutes to secure the victory.
