
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WINS SIXTH STRAIGHT, DOMINATES AT EMORY & HENRY
Emory, VA - The Cobras continue their stellar start and further strengthen their case on the national stage, downing the Wasps 77-60 on the road.
A dominant first half allowed Coker to cruise to an away victory. They outscored the Wasps 18-9 in the first quarter and didn't look back. They carried a 15-point lead into the halftime break and used that cushion to put it away in the second half.
Leading the way for the second game in a row for the Cobras was Dasia Ferguson with 20 points on 8-13 shooting to go along with 2 steals. Kamari Thompson also had a stellar game, recording a double-double of 14 points and 12 rebounds while going 7-10 from the field. The two others in double figures for the game included Mya Wasswa (16 points on 5-8 shooting with 2 steals) and Shawnteanna Tillman (10 points and 6 steals).
The Cobras will head back home with a 6-0 record (4-0 in SAC play) and take on Mars Hill on Saturday in the DeLoach Center. Tip-off for that contest will be at 2:00 PM ET and will be followed by the men's game at 4.
