Thompson has had an impressive high school career, earning several accolades including being named a 3-time All-State player, a 2-time Region Player of the Year, and a 3-time All-Region player. She has also been selected to the All-Upstate team three times and the Greenville All-County team three times. Thompson was also chosen as a Carolinas Classic NG-SC All-Star player. Throughout her high school career, she has scored over 1000 points and grabbed over 1000 rebounds.
