The second game of the day with a game-winner late in the second half came in the form of a 1-0 Men's Soccer win over the Trojans of Anderson.
A deadlock ensued in the first half, with neither team being able to draw any blood during that time. Both teams created chances but ultimately carried a 0-0 tie into the halftime break.
For much of the second half, it was again a deadlock, with both teams exchanging blows but neither one being able to get in the scoring column. All the sudden, things changed in the 75th minute when the Cobras drew a foul to set up a set piece. As Connor Duggan put the ball in play, Yvan Malarte broke free and put a header into the top right corner to take the lead.
The Coker defense held strong in the remaining minutes of this one and pulled out the 1-0 victory. This victory marks nine in a row for the Cobra Men's Soccer team as they look to finish out the season and head into the postseason conference tournament. They will look to continue to do so a week from today as they will host Tusculum for homecoming weekend. Kick-off for that contest is scheduled for 7:00 PM ET.
