How It Happened
Despite the final score, this was a close first quarter of play. The Cobras struck first about five minutes in on a Forehand unassisted goal to make it 1-0. Emory & Henry tied it up at 1-1, but Coker scored the next two with Beighey's (unassisted) and Hiltz's (Augie Ford assist) first goals of the day. The Wasps got one back just seven seconds after Hiltz's goal to make this one 3-2 heading into the second quarter.
The second quarter is where they Cobras stepped on the gas pedal and didn't look back. Between the start of the second and 5:21 left in the third, Coker went on an 18-0 run to put themselves up by a whopping score of 21-2. Wth the game in hand, they used the remaining time to clear the benches and cruised to victory on the road.
