Acrobatics and Tumbling Comes Up Short to Belmont Abbey
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University acrobatics and tumbling team came up just short in their dual on Saturday (Feb. 19), as they fell to Belmont Abbey by a 254.54-252.22 margin.
HARTSVILLE, S.C. - The Coker University acrobatics and tumbling team came up just short in their dual on Saturday (Feb. 19), as they fell to Belmont Abbey by a 254.54-252.22 margin.
The Cobras took the early lead after scores of 34.300 in the compulsory event, followed by a 25.100 in the acro portion for a running total of 59.400 compared to 59.200 for the Crusaders. Coker would follow these scores up with a 27.500 in the pyramid portion and a 24.900 in the toss events.
The Cobras wrapped up the afternoon with an even 50.000 score for their tumbling, and a 90.420 in the team event for their 252.22 team total. Belmont Abbey's 254.54 overall score would give them the victory.
Coker will return to action on Friday (Feb. 25) when they travel to Murfreesboro, N.C. to take on Chowan University. Live video can be found at www.cokercobras.com.
