
Bellegy Earns SAC Minority/International Woman of the Year Award
Senior Jade Bellegy takes home the SAC Minority/International Woman of the Year award.
Rock Hill, SC - Coker Women's Tennis' Jade Bellegy was named the South Atlantic Conference's Minority/International Woman of the Year, according to the release by the conference today!
Bellegy made an immense impact both on and off the court for the Cobras. On the court, she finished the season as a First-Team All-SAC honoree in both singles and doubles, finishing the year 17-2 in singles and 13-5 in doubles and beating the SAC Player of the Year in her final career singles match. She also finished 12th in the Southeast Region singles rankings, and was as high as 10th in the doubles rankings.
Off the court, Bellegy finished with a 3.821 GPA throughout her undergraduate career. She was a member of the Coker team that received the ITA Academic Team Award, along with being named an Academic All-American. She also participated in numerous community service events outside of school, including Hartsville's "Treats on the Street", Coker's Trick or Treat event, and scanning tickets at the Florence Civic Center. For her efforts as a student-athlete, she was named Coker's Female CG Timberlake Athlete of the Year, given to the top female student-athlete at the end of every academic year.
