
Coker Athletics Posts 3.20 2024-25 GPA
Cobras finish school year strong in the classroom.
HARTSVILLE, SC. - Coker University athletic department announced Wednesday that the Cobras put together a 3.20 GPA over the course of the 2024-25 academic school year.
Women's Tennis paced the way for the Cobras in the academic school year, posting an impressive 3.83 GPA. The team also earned the schools Team GPA Award at the yearly "Fang Awards." Volleyball (3.65), Men's Tennis (3.63), Women's Golf (3.62), Men's Tennis (3.62), Softball(3.54), and Women's Soccer (3.54) all added grade point average's above 3.5 on the school year.
Our student-athletes continue to be leaders on the field, in the classroom and in the community," said Senior Associate Director of Athletics, Aaron Beebe. "We have now set a standard of excellence in the classroom, and that type of success doesn't happen alone. We have some of the best faculty, support staff and coaches around. This success is as much theirs as it is ours. They go above and beyond for our student-athletes and for that, I say thank you. This is definitely another great day to be a Cobra."
Coker has seen 30 athletes have their name on the CSC Academic All-District and All-American lists with each individual posting a GPA of 3.5 or higher so far. The Cobras have 13 teams with a GPA higher than 3.0 in the academic school year.
The Cobras saw 73 individuals put together a 4.0 in the spring semester with Men's Soccer leading the way at 13 student-athletes.
