
Austin Ambrose Named New Men's Lacrosse Head Coach
Hartsville, SC- Austin Ambrose has been named Coker University's head men's Lacrosse coach, announced today Monday, April 29th by Vice President of Athletics and Athletic Facilities, Dr. Lynn Griffin.
"Austin did an outstanding job of leading the team this spring to a berth in the SAC Conference Tournament," said Griffin. "We look forward to watching Austin continue to grow Coker men's lacrosse".
With a proven track record of success as both a player and a coach, Ambrose brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program. His dedication to academic excellence and his commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes make him the perfect fit for Coker University.
During his time as Assistant Coach, Ambrose played a key role in the team's success, helping lead them to a winning record and earning individual accolades for his players. His experience coaching at the collegiate level, as well as his background in club and high school lacrosse, make him well-equipped to lead the Men's Lacrosse Team to new heights.
Ambrose had this to say about the new opportunity "I am so grateful for the opportunity to continue to work with these astounding young men. The entirety of Coker University has been family to me for the past three years. My wife Ally, son Samson, and I love Hartsville and are proud to call it home."
As a former player himself, Ambrose understands the dedication and hard work required to succeed at the highest level of competition. His experience playing at the collegiate and professional levels will serve as a valuable resource for his players as they strive to reach their full potential.
