BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Coker women's soccer team lost a Conference Carolinas matchup against Lees-McRae College on Saturday (Sept. 29), 2-0.
Lees-McRae put pressure on the Cobras early in the game as they scored two first half goals. Heading into the locker rooms, Coker was down 2-0.
The intensity picked up for the Cobra defense in the second half as they held the Bobcat offense scoreless. However, Lees-McRae gave Coker's offense very little opportunity to tie the competition. The two first half goals proved to be enough and preserved the win for the Bobcats as the final horn sounded.
Coker will continue conference play at home next Thursday (Oct. 4), as they host the Barton Bulldogs. The game is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
