Director of Athletics Media Relations

Bio

Coker University is proud to announce the hiring of Brian Miller as the Director of Athletics Media Relations. Miller brings a wealth of experience in collegiate athletics communications, spanning multiple NCAA Division I institutions and over two decades in the industry.

Miller most recently served as the Assistant Athletics Director for Communications at Stony Brook University from 2015 to 2020, where he led strategic media efforts for the Seawolves’ athletics programs. Prior to his tenure at Stony Brook, he was the Associate Athletics Communications Director at Tulane University, overseeing communications for men’s basketball, tennis, and bowling while serving as the secondary contact for football.

His career also includes positions within the sports information departments at Louisiana Tech University, Louisiana State University, Auburn University, and The College of William & Mary, where he played key roles in enhancing media outreach and coverage for numerous athletic programs.

A native of Hamilton, NY, Miller earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Northeastern University in Boston.
