Jimena Sierra has been named the SPC Credit Union Athlete of the Month

Following a Stellar Month in September, Jimena Sierra has been named Athlete of the Month

HARTSVILLE, SC: Jimena Sierra has been named the SPC Credit Union Athlete of the Month after her performances on the trails in September. 

WHAT DID SHE DO?

  • In her first Collegiate Meet, Sierra broke the Coker school record in the 4k with a final time of 17:46.1 at the Downback Invitational. Sierra took 2nd place in this meet and led the Cobras to a 2nd place finish.
    • She broke the previous record by 4 seconds.
    • The previous record stood for 13 years.
  • At the Bulldog Stampede, Sierra took 66th place with a final time of 27:19.(6K)
  • At the Winthrop/Adidas Invitation, she took 12th place with a final time of 23:09.4 (5K)
